Vacation Bible School  2017

It is only one week until our building will be filled with children. That’s  right. . . .VBS begins next Monday for children 4K through 5th Grade. VBS begins at 9am and will dismiss at noon. You may register your child ahead of  time by stopping by the Nursery Counter, registering on-line at

www.labellehaven.org or you may register them on Monday morning, June 13.  Of course, there is no charge. Call Debbie if you need more information. 

This year our children will be going to different learning centers for  missions, music, crafts and Bible study. However. . . .Debbie still needs lots of  workers to help make these transitions go smoothly. Don’t wait until the  last minute, contact Debbie today to volunteer.

Wild Game Dinner
Sponsored by the Men’s Ministry
Friday, M arch 4th, 2016~ At 6:00 PM in LaBelle’s Atrium

   The Men’s Ministry of LaBelle Haven is excited to sponsor our annual Wild Game Dinner in February! Sorry Ladies, this is a men and boys only event!! This is an event we have looked forward to for over a year. Bud Cummings, Chairman of the Men’s Ministry, and our men are beginning now to put together this exciting event. This event is a family event and open to all men and boys, so make plans to attend this exciting time of fun, food and fellowship. Seating is limited so get your ticket early. We need men to bring your favorite Wild Game Dish to be entered in a drawing for special prizes. Oh, and don’t forget to bring some veggies and desserts. The men have planned a wonderful menu for us all. There will be numerous door prizes and items given away. The cost is only $5 per person. Tickets will go on sale for this event on Sunday, February 7, 2016. Start inviting your neighbors and friends to attend this event! Don’t miss the fun!!

Winter Women’s Bible Study Sign Up

      Marie Fuller, our Women’s Ministry leader, has announced that the winter Bible study will begin February 8 & 10. The evening group will meet on Monday evenings at 6:30, and the day group on Wednesday mornings at 9:30. This semester’s study will be

“Fight Back with Joy” by Margaret Feinberg. Learn to practice joy, celebrate more, regret less and overcome your greatest fears. The cost is $13. The sign up sheet is at the Welcome Center.


V.B.S. Needs Your Help!

     Debbie is still in need of people to help out during V.B.S (June 26-30). She needs  helpers for the different activity classes and people to transport children from class to class. Please sign up today in your Sunday School classes or at the table in the Atrium outside the office door. We also have a need for food items to be made and donated for the “Teacher’s Snack Room.” Thanks for your willingness to serve.

Memphis Union Mission sunday May 15th

     This is the day we go to the Memphis Union Mission to prepare and serve their evening meal. If you would like to serve and receive a great blessing, be at 383 Poplar Ave. today at 5pm. If you have any questions, see Bob Alexander in the sound booth sunday.

    In praying about a title for our 3 year capital campaign, our leadership team wanted it to reflect what God is doing here at LaBelle.  The two part title, "The Miracle Continues...Linking hearts and Hands,"  is perfect description of our recent history.  The leadership team felt it not only described what God has been doing since 2010, but it makes a strong statement about LaBelle's future.  click here for the Miracle Continues

Jerebeth Mehler Our New Financial Secretary

We welcome Jerebeth Mehler to our staff as our new Financial Secretary. She will begin in a couple of weeks. Many of you know Jerebeth, others are about to meet one of the sweetest ladies you will ever know. We are excited to add Jerebeth to our staff.

Easter Musical April 9th and 10th at 7pm

This year’s Easter musical will be the most powerful presentation we have ever presented. Our goal is to have 90 singers joined  by 20 orchestra members. In addition to the narration. . . .we have added drama this year. God is putting all the pieces together to make this a day you will not want to miss.
     The musical reminds us how important the cross was in our salvation. This terrible instrument of death became a symbol of life. From the cross to the grave, from the grave to the open tomb, from the open tomb to Christ living in our heart. Life came from death. Come and listen to Christ’s story as told by Peter.
     We are asking our members to park in the  area by the busses on this special day.  We would like to save the “best” parking spaces for our guests. We could break the 1,000 barrier for the very first time

I know we just finished with Christmas but this week we will begin work on our Easter presentation "Because He Lives...Amen!".  Easter comes in April this year and we will present the musical on Sunday, April 9 and Monday, April 10 at 7pm.  The musical which includes a great mix of choral music, drama and narration, is a moving portrayal of our Savior's supreme sacrifice for you and for me.


     This would be a wonderful time to join our Worship Choir as we work to prepare this wonderful message.  We would love to have you each Wednesday evening at 7:30 as we rehearse.  There are many who have joined us recently or are visiting with us who have sung in choirs in the past.  We encourage you to use your talents now for the Lord as we worship here at LaBelle Haven.
