This Week at LaBelle

WELCOME NEW MEMBER:  Patricia Hamilton

The Worship Center flowers are provided by the staff of LaBelle Haven

in honor of Bro. Ken Washburn's 32 years of ministerial service.

Lord’s Supper Celebration

At the end of our service this morning we will celebrate the sacrificial death of Jesus by observing the Lord’s Supper. Our church invites our guests who have been born again and baptized to join us as we observe the Lord’s Supper. Men will be stationed at the exits today to receive a benevolence offering that is used to meet the benevolence needs of our church families.

Bro. Ken Washburn Reception

During our worship service this morning, we will honor Bro. Ken on his retirement after 32 years of service at LaBelle Haven Baptist Church. Bro. Ken will not be available after the morning service but we are having a reception in his honor today from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in our Atrium.

Souper Bowl Time

Don’t forget that all cans of soup for the OB food pantry need to be placed on the table by the office entrance by February 12. Last year we received about 1500 cans of soup. Our goal this year is 2023 cans!

Parent/Child Dedication – February 5

On Sunday, February 5, we will have a parent/child dedication at the beginning of our worship service. If any parents would like to participate in this dedication, please contact our children’s ministry director, Mrs. Renea Beene in the church office at 662-893-2273.

Disaster Relief Mass Feeding Training

We are still in need of more people to be trained for our mass feeding disaster relief team. Our mobile kitchen is ready to roll but we are short on volunteers. Two training opportunities are coming up in our area: March 25 at Belden Baptist Church, April 15 at First Baptist Batesville. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. and training starts at 8:30 a.m. For first time trainees, there is a $25 fee for credentials.

Children's Camp

Hey LaBelle Kids and parents!! It’s time to start thinking about camp already! We will be at Student Life Kids camp at Shocco Springs on July 18-21. If your child is interested, you can pick up an information packet, sign up, and pay your deposit at the Ticket Center today. We will have several fundraisers to help pay for camp. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Renea Beene.

Grace in Mind Guest Speaker

On Monday, February 6th we will have a special guest coming to speak to our Dementia/Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group from Heart of Hospice.

Hospice care is commonly misunderstood for what it is and what it is not. We would like to open up this meeting to anyone in the church who may have questions. There are two meeting times available; 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Please consider joining us for either of these informative meetings.
