Primetimer’s Luncheon This Thursday

We normally have about 70 senior adults join us for our monthly potluck and program. Ken is expecting a larger crowd this month for our Primetimer’s luncheon. The reason is. . . .this month is not a potluck. . . .it is a fish fry. Coleman Funeral Home, a new funeral home that is opening in Olive Branch, will provide the food and program. Larry Wray, former owner of Wray’s Fins and Feathers, will be cooking the meal for us. Larry has been attending our church. He also now works with Coleman Funeral Home.

Bro. Jim and our staff are excited to introduce you to Coleman. They offer superior service and a greatly discounted cost to families who have experienced a death. They are a full service funeral home. Yet they want to minister to grieving families. We urge all of our families to consider Coleman Funeral Home in the event of a death in their family.

The “Big Blue Buckets” Are Coming!

Mrs. Debbie has announced that it is time to put out our big blue buckets again. The buckets mean that we are collecting candy. The Olive Branch Fall Festival is October 22. LaBelle will have a booth again this year. We will be giving away information about our church, and thousands of pieces of individually wrapped candy.

You are always so “sweet” to donate bags of candy. The children of Olive Branch are counting on you to donate. Starting next Sunday, please bring your candy and put it in the buckets located on either side of the Welcome Center. Candy not used for the Olive Branch festival will be used at our Children’s Carnival on December 10. We need thousands of pieces of candy!

Meals for Ken & Marilyn Washburn

If you would like to help minister to Ken and Marilyn Washburn by preparing and  delivering a meal to them there are two ways you can sign up. First, you can do it on-line by typing https://mealtrain.com/l84lrr (all lower case letters) directly into your internet browser search window or secondly, you may call the church office at (662) 893-2273 and we will assist you.

Outreach Tomorrow Evening

Each Sunday we have 10+ families visit our church. Tomorrow evening we have the chance to go out and visit in the homes of these families. We meet at 5:30 for a free outreach meal, then we go out in teams visiting at 6pm. At 7:15 we gather back at the church for dessert and reports. We would love for you to join us. If you need an experienced person to go out with you, then that can be arranged.

God and Country Celebration — July 3

July 3rd is a day you do not want to miss here at LaBelle. Our Worship Center will be decorated in red/white/blue. We will salute our flags and all of those who have served in the military. The choir will present patriotic music, and Bro. Jim will deliver a message America needs to hear. Gifts will be given to those in attendance.

Evening BBQ Supper and Gospel Singing will begin at 6pm on July 3rd. We will be outside on the parking lot, so be sure to bring your own lawn chairs. The BBQ meal and watermelon will be free of charge. Debbie has ordered water inflatables for the kids and adults who want to get wet. The gospel quartet “Call to Worship” will be singing that evening when we finish our meal. Bring a friend for a great evening of fun.

Childrens ministry                                    By: Debbie Johnson

I want to give a great BIG Thank You to our children. As of Easter    Sunday, they raised  $400.57 to go toward “The Miracle Continues” campaign. This was given in the form of a little bit of paper money and quarters, dimes, nickels,  pennies, pennies and yes even more pennies! All of this change will go a long way in changing lives. If your child has not returned their bank it is not too late. I also have more banks for the children who want to continue giving.  What an awesome way to teach our children that they too are invested in their church. Thank-you again.
June 13th – 17th  ~ 9:00-12:00   As summer gets    closer I am in planning mode for VBS! I need some people to help in drama for the Bible stories. I will also need people to be group leaders. These people will be responsible for transporting the children to all 5 centers and doing short activities in class. These activities will be planned for you this year. Please pray about serving. These little lives can impact their entire family for Christ. Please see Debbie to sign up.
Thank You!  I can’t say thank you enough to all the people who came and helped at the Olive Branch Easter Festival at City Hall. Being the first year we had no idea how it would be and it was a huge success. There were about 950 kiddo’s and we gave away all our prizes. I could have not made it without everyone’s help.
