On Sunday, July 7, we will be blessed to hear Dr. Jim Futral preach God’s Word. Dr. Futral is the executive director of the Mississippi Baptist Convention. He is retiring in October after 21 years as our leader. Dr. Futral pastored Southern Baptist churches for 35 years before becoming our executive director. His last pastorate was the great Broadmoor Baptist Church in Jackson, MS for 13 years. He is a graduate of Blue Mountain College (1967), New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity 1977), New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (Doctor of Ministry 1980). During that service, we are going to formally thank Dr. Futral for his 21 years of service.
