Student's News! By Mr. Jamie Mullen
LOVE. GO. SERVE. Serving is at the heart of what we do as believers and I want to share a few things with you about serving. First, I’m so excited about being full-time at LaBelle. It’s an honor and privilege to serve our students, families, and members. We are excited about some opportunities I can now focus on and be involved in the daily lives of our students. Second, most of you know that Jenny and I serve as the camp directors for the Missions Camp in Eudora, MS for the Xtended Missions Network. We have been the directors for over 12 years now and run three camps every July. There is no way we could do this alone, so Jenny and I use this camp to train youth and college students to serve not only at camp, but in their local church too. I wanted you to know that most of the youth and college students gave up two weeks this summer to serve at this camp. They served well and I couldn’t be more proud of them. It was hot and humid all three camps, but they served anyway. Our youth are wanting to serve and we are giving them every opportunity to do so. Finally, our students had an incredible experience at camp. I’m proud of the way they always carry themselves and they always receive compliments from the camp staff. Even at camp the youth looked for opportunities to serve. This group of students, parents, and members of LaBelle make camp such an amazing event in our summer. Jenny and I thank you for your support and continued prayers as we step forward in faith with this opportunity to serve full-time. We are excited about this Fall and the outreach opportunities we will have.
