This Week at LaBelle

Happy Mother’s Day

The LaBelle Haven staff and church family would like to wish all of our moms a Happy Mother’s Day. We are grateful to God for our mothers and all that they have done for each of us.

Baby Bottle Banks Available Today

Today, you will find baby bottle banks displayed in the Atrium and in the Worship Center. We share these banks to raise money for the Care Pregnancy Center of DeSoto County. We ask that you collect pocket change or paper money and return the bottles on Father’s Day, June 20. If you put a check in your bottle please make it payable to The Care Center.

Kidz Academy Book Fair - Today

Today is the final day that you can support LaBelle Haven Kidz Academy by visiting the book fair set up in the Multi-Purpose Room.  The Kidz Academy sold over $800 worth of books last Sunday. Way to go LaBelle Haven!  The profit we earn will come back to us in the form of books and classroom supplies. Thank you for your continued support of our preschool program.

Operation Christmas Child

In the month of May we are asking that the LaBelle Haven family purchase some items for the OCC boys and girls and drop them off in the large Christmas box near the church offices. Suggested items are crayons, coloring books, dolls, stuffed animals, flip flops, socks, toothbrush, hair brush, washcloths, bouncy balls, etc. For a complete list of suggested gifts, go to labellehaven.org and click on service projects and then click on the gift suggestions age and gender tab.

Senior Adult Fish Fry – May 17

The Xtended Missions Association will have their annual senior adult fish fry at the Ervin Brown Training Center in Hernando May 17, at 10:30 a.m. The minibus will leave from the church at 9:00 a.m. Others can caravan behind the minibus to the event.

Law Enforcement Appreciation – May 23

On May 23, LaBelle Haven Baptist Church will show our appreciation for our local law enforcement officers. Chief Gammage and Sheriff Rasco have agreed to worship with us that Sunday. We want to honor all of the officers, both active and retired, who are members of LaBelle Haven. If you can be present that Sunday and can participate in the service, please sign up at the Ticket Center.

Youth Camp Fundraiser

We’re excited about our Boston Butt Fundraiser!

This fundraiser allows us to offset the cost of camp for our students and make an eternal impact in their lives. Our goal this year is to sell 100 Boston Butts for $35 a ticket and pick-up will be at the South Entrance by the kitchen on May 27 from 6pm-7pm. Come by the Ticket Center today to purchase your tickets.

Deacon Election

It is still early in 2021 but soon enough it will be the fourth quarter of the year and we will elect deacons to begin serving in 2022. You are encouraged right now to begin praying and considering who you would like to nominate to serve as a deacon. If you are not familiar with many men in our church, use this time to ask your Sunday School teacher or a current deacon about the men in our church who are faithfully serving the Lord. We need you all to participate in this process

The Worship Center flowers are provided by Stacy, Melissa, Jeff, Jennifer, Ian, Ragon & Olivia in honor of our Mom & Grams, Judy Greene. Happy Mother's Day! You are precious to our hearts!
