This Week at LaBelle

Bro. Dean Officially Our Senior Pastor

Though Bro. Dean has been with us for some time this morning we will honor him officially as our new Senior Pastor and pray over him. As you exit today we will have cake and punch in the atrium for you to enjoy and we will have a special gift for everyone in attendance.

Chili Cook-Off & Cake Auction – January 28

If you would like to know how your chili stacks up to others, or if you love our youth and want to help them raise money for camp, we have an event for you. We are going to have a Chili Cook-Off and Cake Auction on January 28 after the morning service to help raise funds for youth camp. We are going to charge $20 to enter the cook-off and $5 to eat. We will have a celebrity panel to judge the best chili. A sign-up sheet to enter the cook-off or to bring cakes will be available on the youth table in the atrium.

Church-Wide Fish Fry – February 2

We will have a Church-wide Fish Fry, sponsored by the LaBelle Haven Men’s Ministry, Friday, February 2, 2018 at 6:00 PM. The LaBelle family will have a time of coming together for fellowship and food which features an all you can eat catfish dinner and some crappie too. Along with catfish, the Men’s Ministry Team will be preparing slaw, fries and banana pudding for our dinner. The cost is only $10 per person, children 12 and under $5. Get your tickets now. Tickets go on sale beginning this Wednesday, January 17. There are only 250 tickets available, so don’t wait until the last minute to get yours

 Souper Bowl Time

The Super Bowl will be played on February 4 this year so now is the time to plan your class Super Bowl fellowship. Please notify the office about any Super Bowl events so we can list them in the bulletin. It is also the time when we collect canned soup to donate to the Olive Branch Food Pantry. There are many needy families in the DeSoto and Marshall Counties and this is an inexpensive way that each of us can help our neighbors in need. There is a table set up near the offices to place your cans of soup.

DNOW Weekend ~ February 9 & 10

We will have our own DNOW here at LaBelle February 9 & 10. DNOW is a discipleship weekend focusing on our youth. Our speaker is Jason Cook and worship will be led by Matt King. The cost is $40 a student if paid by January 15 or if you bring a friend both will get it for $20 a piece. The price will go up to $50 a student after January 15. Parents, we will need several host homes for our students so if you are interested please see Jamie!
